In March 2010, V&E Distributors came into existence, thanks to the vision of its founder, Gabriël Victor. This tale of inception revolves around a pivotal moment when his daughter Yolandi and her husband returned to South Africa following a six-year sojourn in London, accompanied by their beloved British Exotic Shorthair cat.

Upon their return, Yolandi embarked on a quest to replicate the exceptional cat litter experience she had encountered in the UK with Cat's Best Oko Plus. Back in London, she had grown accustomed to a home free from the lingering odors of cat urine, effortlessly flushing the biodegradable, 100% organic litter down the toilet in tidy clumps.

Her search in South Africa led her through a roster of available cat litter brands, but none even remotely approached the quality of Cat's Best Oko Plus. It became abundantly clear that there was a void in the market waiting to be filled.

Meanwhile, Victor, having recently concluded a three-decade-long entrepreneurial journey, keenly perceived this market gap. He decided to reach out to the manufacturers of Cat's Best in Germany, who had not yet established a presence in South Africa. Following rigorous negotiations, he secured the exclusive distribution rights for Cat's Best Oko Plus in South Africa.

Yolandi assumed the mantle of marketing the product within South Africa, and within two years, V&E Distributors not only met but exceeded the targets set by the German manufacturers. As a result, they were awarded the exclusive distributorship for South Africa.
